Assembly Instructions: 1993-BA3 PS (Joia)

IMPORTANT:

• ALL INSTALLATION WORK SHOULD BE DONE BY ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL.

• SHUT OFF POWER SUPPLY AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER!

• USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED BULBS. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE!

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the

important notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit

breakerandcompletelyremovetheoldxturefromthewall,

including the old mounting strap.

Mounting strap (B) contains several pairs of threaded holes.

Find the pair of holes that matches the spacing of the holes

onthejunctionboxandyourxturebackplate.Twoof

mounting screws (A) should be attached to mounting strap

(B). You may need to tighten the nuts that hold these screws

in place. Pull the house wires through the center of mounting

strap(B),placemountingstrap(B)overthejunctionboxso

thatmountingscrews(A)arehorizontal,andinalignment

withtheholelocationsonxturebackplate(F).Secure

mountingstrap(B)tothejunctionboxwithmountingscrews

(D) and a screwdriver. Tighten the screws securely.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

Attachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthe

junctionbox.Connectblacktoblack(orsmooth);whiteto

white(orribbed);groundtoground(greenorcopper).Twist

theendsofthewirepairstogether,thentwistonawire

connector. Make sure all twists are in the same direction. If

there is no ground wire (green or copper) from the junction

box,locategroundscrew(E)onmountingstrap(B)and

wrapthexturegroundwirearoundthegreengroundscrew

(E). Use a screwdriver to secure ground screw (E) onto the

mountingbracket.Tuckallwiresneatlyintothejunctionbox.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

Placexturebackplate(F)overmountingscrews(A)sothat

they protrude through the holes in the front of the backplate.

Thread deco nuts (G) onto mounting screws (A). Twist until

thebackplateofthextureissnugagainstthewall.

Slideglassshades(I)overthesockets.Tosecureinplace,

place spacers (J) over the sockets before using socket tool

(M) to twist socket rings (K) onto the threads of the sockets.

Install the provided halogen bulbs (L) in accordance with the

xture’sspecications.

Bulb Note: Use a tissue or paper towel to hold the bulb and

push the bulb down into the socket. Oils and dirt can cause

the bulb life to shorten. Rubbing alcohol is recommended for

cleaning the bulbs.

Your installation is now complete. Turn on the power and test

thexture.

CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down

the xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture. For deep cleaning, turn off the

light and remove the glass prior to cleaning. Place the glass shades aside to clean one at a time. Hand wash glass with warm water

and mild detergent. Dry with a lint-free or microber cloth.
