Assembly Instructions: 1208-9 DNI (Marcellis)

IMPORTANT:

• ALL INSTALLATION WORK SHOULD BE DONE BY ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL.

• SHUT OFF POWER SUPPLY AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER!

• USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED BULBS. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE!

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Carefully remove all of the contents from the carton. See the

important notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker

andcompletelyremovetheoldxturefromthewall,including

theoldmountingstrap.

Fromthepartsbagremovethemountingstrapassembly.One

endofnipple(F)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(A)with

washerandhexnuts(C&D)inplace.Theotherendshouldhave

canopy loop (H) attached.

Attachmountingstrap(A)tothejunctionboxusingmounting

screws(B)andascrewdriver.Tightensecurely.Unscrewcanopy

loop collar (I) from canopy loop (H). Pass canopy (G) over the

mountedcanopylooptotesttheheight.Approximatelyhalf

ofthecanopyloop’sexteriorthreadsshouldbeexposed,and

thecanopyloopcollarshouldtsnuglyontothecanopyloop.

Removecanopy(G)andadjusttheheightofnipple(F)and

canopyloop(H)untilthedesiredheightisreached.

Bymeasuring,determinethecorrectamountofchainandwire

neededforproperhangingheight.Ifnecessary,useapairof

plierstoopenandremoveanyexcesschain.Attachoneofchain

connectors(K)toeachendofchain(J).Passthexturewires

throughtoploop(H).Attachoneendofchain(J)totoploop

(L)usingchainconnector(K)andclosechainconnector(K).

Attach one end of rods (O) to the decorative hooks on top cap

(M). Hook the other end of rods (O) to decorative hooks (R) on

xtureframering(P).Attachoneendofrods(Q)tothebottom

ofdecorativehook(R).Thenattachtheotherendofrod(Q)to

decorativehooks(S)onxtureframering(U).Feedthexture

wiresupthroughthechain(everythreelinksorso),pullingthe

wiresuntiltaut.Trimthewirestothedesiredlengthplus8to10

inches.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

Haveanassistantsupportthextureweightwhilecompleting

thewiring.Threadthexturewiresthroughcanopy(G).Attach

thexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthejunction

box.Connectblacktoblack(orsmooth);whitetowhite(or

ribbed);groundtoground(greenorcopper).Twisttheendsof

thewirepairstogether,thentwistonawireconnector.Make

surealltwistsareinthesamedirection.Ifthereisnogroundwire

(greenorcopper)fromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)

onmountingstrap(B)andwrapthexturegroundwirearound

thegreengroundscrew(E).Useascrewdrivertosecureground

screw(E)ontothemountingbracket.Tuckallwiresneatlyinto

thejunctionbox.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

Note: Completetheremainingstepsafterthextureishung.

Tightenthedecorativehammerednials(T)ontothethreadsat

thebottomofxtureframe(P)and(U)

Carefullyslideglassshades(W)oversockets(Y).Candlesleeves

(X)haveretainingringsattached.Eachretainingringhastwo

smallholesineachside.Theglassshadeopeningistight.

Carefullypushthecandlesleevesdownintotheglassshades

and over the sockets. Carefully place the tips of socket tool (V)

intotheholesintheretainingring.Usesockettool(V)tothread

theretainingringsontothesocketthreads.Thiswillsecurethe

glassinplace.

Installlightbulbsinaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.

Donotexceedthemaximumrecommendedwattage.

Your installation is now complete. Turn on the power and test the

xture.

CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
